This gorgeous caterpillar with a voracious appetite ate every leaf on the leader of a newly planted plum tree, even though it's late fall. This beauty with the big name, Red-humped Caterpillar Moth, turns into a non-descript little brown moth. It takes up a defensive posture raising its rear end when disturbed.
