Late Bloomer

Vinegar Weed is one of the latest bloomers, but we keep watching for others to pop up even as the leaves on some trees begin to fall. Even though it's native, Vinegar Weed likes disturbed areas and grows only in the small areas of the meadow that are mowed. You can smell its pungent aroma as you walk up on it, and the flowers produce lots of nectar. Trichostema lanceolatum
