Deer brush is one of the hundreds of magnificent California native lilacs. This one is a shrub that grows about eight feet tall, has stately green trunks and signature lilac spike blossums in late spring, in white. In the mountains, Deer brush is typically a north slope plant but also may live under the part shade of forest trees. Ceanothus integerrimus
