This carpet of soft, delicate white flowers is Spreading Hedgeparsley, an introduced invasive annual. Despite its beauty now, by mid-summer it produces small prickly burs that stick to every shoestring, sock, pantleg, sleeping bag, or man's hairy leg. A good remedy for removal, except on the leg, is a pine cone or stiff brush. Torilis arvensis
