The Orange Thing

The Orange Thing

The aptly named Candied Red Jelly Fungus has the texture of a Gummi Bear and the color of an orange hazard cone. It grows under conifers throughout North America and is especially common in the Pacific Northwest. Its season is said to be May-July and August-October, but we only seem them in the winter in the Sierra foothills. Phlogiotis helvelloides
