Autumn's Gold
We love that, even in early autumn, there are still some wildflowers making their first appearance. This late-blooming native perennial is Canada Goldenrod. It likes moist openings in woodlands and meadow edges, where this one was found. Native Americans used parts of the plant as remedies for various body pains.
