Stars and Needles
Where the forest floor is dry and covered in pine needles, spring brings a splash of lime green when Starflower comes out. Starflower likes shady forest floors with deep layers of duff and in some places produces carpets of green, though the late rains make them nearly iridescent. Eventually each plant produces a single star-shaped lavender flower in the center.
