Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith

Until recently, we only heard the nocturnal Pacific Tree Frog, but now we've seen one up close in the light of day. They can be green, brown or tan, and may shift colors for camouflage. Despite their big voice, they are very tiny. This little frog is only about a half-inch long. After I shot a few more frames, the little frog looked me in the eye, and leapt off the tree trunk to the ground five feet below. Pseudacris regilla

  • Terrific detail in a photo of such a small creature, and nice contrast with the tree moss.
