Fiddleneck

Fiddleneck

It's easy to see how Common Fiddleneck got its name. It is often found in disturbed places, but unlike many non-natives we find in the meadows grazed decades ago, Fiddleneck is a native. It can grow in dense stands, but we find it more sparse and evenly spaced. The stiff hairs on Fiddleneck place it in the borage family. Amsinckia menziesii var. intermedia
